Traces of the Trade:
A Story from the Deep North

This documentary details the journey of filmmaker, Katrina Browne, who discovers that her New England ancestors were the largest slave-trading family in U.S. history. She and nine family members retrace the Slave Triangle Trade and gain a powerful new perspective on the black/white divide. Leslie M. Harris, associate professor of History and African American Studies at Emory University, will facilitate a post screening community discussion.

The Auburn Avenue Research Library (AARL) is a recipient of the 2008 Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) Hidden Collections Grant. Archives from Atlanta, Cradle of the Civil Rights Movement: The Papers of Andrew Young, SCLC and the NAACP-Atlanta Chapter is a collaborative archival processing project with Emory University.
